Using Internet Server Monitor through Firewalls and over Wide Area Networks

Unlike Network Event Viewer and SMART Disk Monitor, Internet Server Monitor does not use Microsoft's WMI API to monitor server applications. Internet Server Monitor uses either TCP or UDP to monitor each server application. System Administrators must open each port they wish to monitor through their firewall.
